PMPC is the maker and distributor of Panasonic brands of electric
and electronic appliances in the country. It is not only the oldest
among the group, but also the first Filipino-Japanese joint venture
operation in the area of consumer electronics. As one of the leaders
in the industry, PMPC continues to establish many “firsts” in the
appliance industry. To mention a few, the company is the first local
manufacturer to introduce non-mercury-added batteries and non-CFC
refrigerators in the local market. It is likewise the first local
appliance manufacturing-firm to earn ISO 9002 Certification for
all its factories. PMPC is also the first company among appliance
manufacturers to obtain ISO 14001. Indeed, the company’s commitment
to excellence has always been complimented with prestigious awards
and recognition from the government and non-government organizations.

Panasonic Communications Imaging Corporation of the Philippines
(PCIP) |

PCIP was established in September 1995, while
the assembly line started its operations on April 1, 1996. It is
the first plain paper copier plant ever established in the Philippines.
The company is envisioned by the Matsushita Group to serve as its
manufacturing base in Asia for plain paper copiers. PCIP’s products
are exported to Japan, USA, European countries and the rest of the
world. In October 2001, PCIP moved its factories from Taytay to
its new location in Carmelry II, Calamba, Laguna. Last March, 2002
it started producing facsimile machines. |

Panasonic Communications Corporation of the Philippines (PCP), formerly
Kyushu Matsushita Electric Philippines Corporation (PKME), is the
fourth among the Matsushita Group of Companies in the Philippines
(MGCP) and is under the Devices and Components Division of Panasonic
Communications Co, Ltd. (PCC) Japan.
It was formally established on August 30, 2000, when PCC Japan had
to transfer its production overseas due to cost competition. Thus,
PCP became the fifth among its overseas manufacturing companies,
with others located in Malaysia, United Kingdom, Mexico, Thailand
and China.
At present, PCP is engaged in the manufacture and export of Optical
Disc Drives particularly slim and ultra slim CD-R/RW drives, DVD-ROM
& CD-R/RW drives, DMD Digital Versatile Disk Multi Drives and
Super Multi Drives for use of notebook computers, and other products
such as Micro Processor Unit (MPU) cooling fans. With this, PCP
seeks to build up global sales production system for its mother
company, PCC Japan, and strengthen its competitiveness worldwide.
Recognizing its responsibilities as industrialist, PCP devotes itself
to the progress and development of society and the well-being of
people through its business activities, thereby enhancing the quality

PIAP was established in April 1, 2004 as a branch of Panasonic Industrial
Asia - Singapore, to be the window of Industry sales group in the
Philippines. PIAP is responsible for the sales and marketing activities
of Industrial products, which includes Electronic Components, Factory
Automation Machines and FA Spare Parts. PIAP also provides Factory
Automation Machine Training utilizing FA Training Center located
in the same area. Recognizing exports as one of the drivers of economic
growth, PIAP has registered with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority
(PEZA) as an Eco-zone Facilities Enterprise; enabling it to share
its inventory and materials management skills with its customers.
Besides sales and service, PIAP extends its support to its customers
through product promotion, market research and information exchange
